Cranio-Sacral
Therapy
Craniosacral
Therapy
dates back to 1970 when osteopathic physician John E. Upledger first
witnessed the rhythmic movement of the Craniosacral
system during a spinal surgery. Dr. Upledger theorized
that a hydraulic system of sorts was functioning inside the Craniosacral
system and he set out to prove it. The Craniosacral
system consists of the membranes and cerebrospinal fluid that surround and
protect the brain and spinal cord. It extends from the
bones of the skull, face and mouth, which make up the cranium, down to the
sacrum, or tailbone area. This gentle method of
detection and correction encourages your own natural healing mechanisms to
dissipate these negative effects. It helps alleviate a
range of illness, pain and dysfunction including:

lie fully clothed on the massage table, while the therapist lightly
palpates the head, neck, sacrum, arms, and legs - affecting the
craniosacral pulse throughout the body. This
often results in motion, a release of emotional memories, and increased
sense of well being.

corrects the whole body by activating your body’s own healing system.
Helps alleviate wide range of illnesses and dysfunction including:
