refer to Stone Therapy as "the Mother of Acupuncture". The
powerful "metasthetic" energies of Stone Massage are known to
promote a harmonizing and balancing effect. Hot Stone Massage
renews the interest in using the earth as therapy. There is nothing more
soothing than this ancient combination of muscular therapy and the
penetrating heat of the earth.
Smooth basalt stones are heated in hot water and applied to the body in
energetic patterns during the session. Water-heated stones are used as extensions of the therapists’
hands, for deeper, more penetrating massage of thicker muscular areas.
The heat from the stones unwinds tense muscle tissue, expands blood vessels, pushing blood and waste through the body.
So close your eyes, relax, enjoy warm stones
gently placed on your body, massaged with them, letting all your stress
melt away.
