Mary
Broomall, LMT -- Deep Tissue, Swedish Massage
Mary, President of Simsbury
Therapeutic, graduated from the Connecticut Center for Massage Therapy
in Newington, CT in 1987. Her massage integrates her many
years of experience, utilizing techniques like Pfrimmer Cross Fibre,
PNF Stretching, Range of Motion, Swedish, and Hot Stone Therapy.
Mary's style involves specific soft tissue manipulation for maximum
results with chronic pain from injury or disease. Along with her
knowledge of the body, Mary incorporates the energetic component to
create a holstic approach to wellness: Mind, Body and Spirit.
Mary is a faculty member at CCMT where she
currently teaches Business Fundamentals. Her other interests and
training include Essential Oils Therapy and Bach Flower Remedies.
Ann
Jones, LMT – Craniosacral Therapy, Swedish Massage
and Energy Massage
Ann
is a nationally certified and CT licensed massage therapist. She
is a graduate of Connecticut
Center for Massage Therapy, Newington, CT and member of the American
Massage Therapy Association. Ann has been practicing
Intuitive Energy Healing for thirteen years and has received training in
Craniosacral Therapy. She offers a full range of
massage modalities and incorporates her sensitivity to the subtle energies
of the body, mind and spirit to support her client’s healing process.
Jane
Tanner, LMT – Deep Tissue, Swedish and Craniosacral Therapy
Jane
is a graduate of the University
of Connecticut and the Connecticut Center for Massage Therapy, Newington,
CT. She is a CT licensed massage therapist and has
received training in Craniosacral Therapy.
Jane’s
love of horses led her to a degree in Animal Science and while working
with horses she watched a massage session on an 1800 pound horse that was
in pain with every step he took. After 45 minutes of
massage therapy, to the amazement of everyone watching, the horse went
from walking in pain to a solid trot! Jane knew there
was something to this massage therapy stuff. With her
background in anatomy and physiology, she attended CCMT and learned to
combine an innate hands-on ability from life-long animal experience to the
techniques of massage therapy for humans including energy work. Jane offers a session that may include any combination of Swedish,
Craniosacral Therapy, Energetic or Deep Tissue Therapy, based on
individual needs.
Mary
Minehan, LMT, Reflexologist – The Science of Reflexology
Mary’s
educational background includes a Masters in Human Development and
Gerontology, a diploma from Connecticut
Center for Massage Therapy, Newington, CT. and Certification from the
International Institute of Reflexology.
Donna
Lee Dranginis, RMT, CHT – Hypnosis and Reiki
Donna
Lee is a Reiki Master and Practitioner in the Usui method. She
is certified in Basic, Advanced Medical and Metaphysical Hypnosis and a
member of the American Board of Hypnotherapy.
Reiki
(ray-key) means universal life energy. Reiki is a safe,
non-invasive form of hands-on healing that increases energy, reduces pain,
produces deep relaxation and a general feeling of well-being. Reiki
helps support the body to facilitate healing on all levels – physical,
mental, emotional and spiritual.
Hypnosis
is a state of heightened and focused consciousness in which the mind is
more receptive to positive, therapeutic suggestion. Bad
habits can be replaced with positive patterns of behavior. Common
uses include:

Rebecca Huntley, LMT
Medical, Deep/Specific, Hospice, Swedish, Pregnancy, Hot Stone Massage Aromatherapy, Raindrop Technique, Facials
Rebecca is a graduate of the Connecticut Center for Massage Therapy in Newington, CT. She is nationally certified, Connecticut licensed, and is a member of the American Massage Therapy Association. Rebecca offers a broad range of massage modalities, incorporating facets of each into every session to tailor the visit to the client’s individual needs. She works extensively with clients who experience chronic pain from accident, injury and illness. Using specific soft tissue manipulation to release restriction, increase range of motion, normalize and align the structure and function of the body, she and the client work together to reduce or eliminate pain and improve the client’s quality of life.
Rebecca holds additional certification in Medical Massage and Hospice Massage, and offers visits to the family home or nursing facility. Her training involved rotation through the medical units of Hartford Hospital including cardiology, oncology, transplants, critical care, orthopedics and obstetrics in labor and delivery. Medical massage is defined as, “the application of skilled, sensitive and compassionate touch by professionally trained massage therapists with the specific intention of promoting the healing process, improving healing outcomes, reducing pain and encouraging higher levels of wellness.”
Marie Gebhardt, LMT
Swedish, Deep Tissue, Trigger Point Therapy, Myofascial Release, Sports Massage, Prenatal Massage, Hydrotherapy, Aromatherapy
Marie is a graduate of the Therapeutic and Swedish Massage Program at the Florida College of Natural Health (FCNH) in Orlando, FL. She became licensed in Florida and took a massage position at the prestigious Mandara Spa at Universal Studios Orlando. She also worked as a teaching assistant in the clinical classrooms and directed the Public Clinic at FCNH for more than a year. She is nationally certified and a CT licensed massage therapist. Her passion for massage and the healing power of the human body has led her to specialize in pain management for injuries and chronic pain syndromes. She has also worked extensively with athletes of many kinds in enhancing performance, assisting in rehabilitation from injuries, and post-event treatments to reduce recovery times. She has provided post-event sports massage at the Disney Triathlon, Disney Marathon, Clermont Iron Man Competition, and many other charity sponsored sporting events. Each massage is personalized to the needs of the individual client and incorporates the many modalities listed above as needed to facilitate healing.
